Shadra, known in Japan as Romashuma, is the final boss of Magical Starsign, being the third of three bosses fought at Chromagar Cave on Shadra. It is the matured giant larva.

Profile
In their first form, Shadra is a massive three-segmented moth with pink and green patterns across its body. They will change their color scheme in order to reflect their current starsign, with dark affinity being the default. When they transition into their second form, they becomes a large four-legged monster with cyan horns, and a massive, spherical, red lower body with spikes protruding.

Boss
Throughout the entirety of the battle with Shadra, Mokka will appear to be unconscious, though he is actually fully functioning as a party member. In their first form, Shadra can have any affinity, and can switch between affinities at the start of a turn. Despite being tied to a single affinity at a time, Shadra can use magic attacks from every affinity other than light and dark at any time. These are: falcon dive from wind; gravel pounder from earth; briar patch from wood; heat fondu from fire; and absolute zero from water. They also possess the neutral spell celestial swap, allowing them to control the alignment of the planets to their advantage; Shadra will use this spell more variably than most other enemies, and is capable of aligning the planets to trigger orbit end. They can also use the skill scale, which does very little damage to the party, but has the potential to completely drain the magic points of its targets.

When Shadra's hit points are reduced 40% or less, they will assume their second form. In this state, their affinity will be the opposite of the protagonist's, giving them either light affinity with an aura during the day, or dark affinity with an aura during the night. Similar to the previous phase, they can still use spells from either light or dark affinity regardless of what their current starsign is, and they retain the spell celestial swap. It has the light spells paradigm shift, which deals damage to up to six members of the party, and prism barrier, which negates damage dealt from the party's attacks. They have the dark spell big crunch, which deals damage to every party member. They also have the skill stabby fork, which strikes a single party member.
Its spells are primarily single-target with the added effect of paralysis. Cider uses Pretty in battle, and the Protagonist can choose it as their starting element.

Recruitment
Pretties disguise themselves as hand mirrors, and can be recruited if given decor coins. A total of 41 decor coins are needed to recruit all seven spirits. Pretties are repulsed by gummy worms and will ask the party to discard them if they own too many. If more worms are caught in the overworld than permitted, the Pretties will threaten to permanently leave unless they are dropped. The only ways to safely obtain worms with Pretties on the team are from chests, enemy drops, Kirsche's special power, or Chocolat's special power. It is recommended that all stone and insect spirits are recruited before attempting to recruit Pretties.
